Vietnam fencing team targets Russian title
(VOV) -It has been unveiled that Vietnam will field a national team of 12 young talents at the 2015 World Fencing Championships set for July 13-19 in Moscow, Russia.
Nguyen Tien Nhat, Vu Thanh An and Nguyen Thi Le Dung are favourites for winning medals at the competition, which will afford them an opportunity to secure a slot to the 2016 Summer Olympics next August in Rio de Janeiro.
Previously, at the 28th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2015 in Singapore, the fencing team earned eight gold medals to rank first, making it the team’s most successful completion in the history of the sport.
