Vietnam earns silver and bronze at Jujitsu World Championship 2025

VOV.VN - Vietnamese athletes have made a promising start at the ongoing Jujitsu World Championship 2025 in Thailand, earning one silver and one bronze medal.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc secured a silver medal in the women’s Newaza 70kg event after being narrowly defeated by Canada’s Pfaff Rain in the final. Her teammate Phung Thi Hue claimed a bronze medal in the women’s Newaza 45kg category.

In other results, Lo Thi Phung finished seventh in the women’s 52kg division, while Vu Thi Anh Thu and Hoang Thi Nhat Que placed 13th and fifth in the women’s 63kg and 70kg divisions, respectively.

In the duo show category, Phung Thi Hong Ngoc and Nguyen Ngoc Bich finished ninth.

The Jujitsu World Championship 2025 kicked off on November 1. Competitions for adult, master, and para divisions run until November 7, while the junior division continues through November 15.
