Vietnam ranks third at Asian Ju-Jitsu Championships with seven golds

VOV.VN - Vietnam placed third overall at the 2025 Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship for Adults, held in Jordan from May 23 to 25, securing a total of seven gold, two silver, and six bronze medals.

The team made a strong start with two golds on the opening day, courtesy of Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc in the women’s 70kg event and Tran Hong An in the 57kg category.

Their momentum continued with five more gold medals. Thanh Truc added two more titles in the women’s over-70kg newaza and contact disciplines. Hong An also triumphed in the 52kg contact event, while Ngo Thi Thao Van claimed victory in the under-70kg contact, and Dao Hong Son took gold in the men’s 56kg contact category.

Thailand topped the overall standings with 14 gold, four silver, and eight bronze medals, followed by Kazakhstan with nine golds, 14 silvers, and 18 bronzes.

The tournament now moves on to the U21 division, set to kick off on May 26.
