Vietnam drop to 114th position in latest FIFA rankings
VOV.VN - Vietnam have fallen one spot compared to the previous ranking, now placed 114th in the world and second in Southeast Asia, according to the latest FIFA rankings.

In September 2025, the Vietnam national team did not play any official international matches recognized by FIFA. Their two most recent games, against Nam Dinh and Hanoi Police, were only internal training matches and did not count toward FIFA ranking points.
In Southeast Asia, several other teams also saw shifts in their positions. Thailand remained the top-ranked team in the region at 101st globally, climbing one place. Following are Indonesia (119th, down one), Malaysia (123rd, up two), and the Philippines (143rd, up two), among others.
Japan led Asia’s rankings at 21st globally, down 2 places, followed by Iran (21st), the Republic of Korea (23rd), Australia (25th), and Qatar (53rd).
In September’s FIFA rankings, Argentina lost the world’s No. 1 spot for the first time in two years, dropping to third place, while Spain rose to first place and France moved up to second. England and Portugal followed in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
