Vietnam drawn into the same group as defending champion Iran at Asian finals
VOV.VN - A draw for the 2025 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women's Futsal Asian Cup finals was held on February 6, with Vietnam placed in Group B alongside defending champion Iran, Hong Kong (China), and the Philippines.
Iran, the two-time defending champion, will be Vietnam's toughest challenge in Group B, while Hong Kong (China) and the Philippines are expected to be easier opponents.
Meanwhile, two Southeast Asian representatives, Thailand and Indonesia, have been drawn into Group C alongside Japan and Bahrain.
Group A features the hosts China, Uzbekistan, Chinese Taipei, and Australia.
The AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup finals will take place from May 7 to May 18 in China. This competition will serve as the qualifying stage for the inaugural 2025 FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup, which will be held in the Philippines later this year.
