VOV.VN - Vietnam have been drawn into a Group of Life for the 2026 AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup qualification round following a draw ceremony held in Malaysia on August 7.

Vietnam will play in Group D alongside Hong Kong (China) and Guam that are considered less challenging compared to others.

The qualifiers feature 27 teams divided into three groups of four and five groups of three. The eight group winners will advance to join four automatically qualified teams— the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Japan, the Republic of Korea and China that earned their spots through the 2025 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

Scheduled from October 13 to 17, 2025, the qualifying round will see Vietnam hosting their group matches, as assigned by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). The final tournament is set for April 30 to May 17, 2026.
