Vietnam continues to bag medals in karate and jujitsu at ASIAD 19

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese karate and jujitsu teams won medals on October 5 at the ongoing 19th Asian Games (ASIAD 2023) in Hangzhou city of China's Zhejiang province.

Accordingly, in the women’s 48-kilogramme event, Ju-jitsu fighter Phung Thi Hue successfully beat Nutchaya Sugun of Thailand 2-1 to win the bronze medal.

Meanwhile, in the women’s 68kg kumite category, Dinh Thi Huong, who previously won gold at SEA Games 32, also showed her strength and talent in the match against Ceyco Georgia Zefanya of Indonesia. She was excellent in the game and eventually defeated the Indonesian rival 1-0 to win the medal.

As of 16:00 p.m. on October 5, the nation now have two gold, three silver, and 16 bronze medals.
