Vietnam beat Thailand, cruise into AFF U16 Youth Championship
VOV.VN - Vietnam stunned Thailand 2-0 in a semi-final match of the ongoing AFF U16 Youth Championship 2022 in Indonesia on August 10.
Cong Phuong scored a goal for Vietnam in the first half before his team mate Trong Tan head home in the second half, extending the visiting team’s lead.
Vietnamese players also missed several scoring chances, especially when Cong Phuong’s shot hit the Thai horizontal bar in the 90th minute.
Vietnam will then play hosts Indonesia that beat Myanmar 5-4 after a penalty shootout in another semi-final match on the same day.
The Vietnam – Indonesia final clash of the tournament is scheduled to take place on August 12.
