Information from the Vietnam Badminton Federation and the badminton unit under the Sports Authority of Vietnam shows the national team have been allocated eight entries for the tournament.

“We have players competing in every event. This is an important tournament for Vietnamese players to assess their opponents and prepare for ASIAD 20,” said Khoa Trung Kien, head of the badminton unit under the Sports Authority of Vietnam.

The team have been training in northern Bac Ninh province since early 2026. Leading player Nguyen Thuy Linh is currently competing in France, while the rest of the squad are preparing for the Vietnam International Challenge 2026 in Hanoi from March 24 to 29.

The team will then travel to China for the Asian championships, scheduled for April 4 to 11, where players will be drawn into their respective events.

Vietnam’s most recent international outing was at SEA Games 33 in Thailand, where they secured a bronze medal in the women’s doubles.
