Vietnam advances to semi-finals of AFF Futsal Championship
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese national futsal team cruised to a 5-1 win over Australia on April 6 in their final game of Group B to earn a place in the semi-finals of the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship.
Thinh Phat helped the Vietnamese team open the scoring in the 13th minute. The team were then able to double their lead in the last minute of the first half thanks to Thai Huy with a neat left-foot finish.
In the second half, Australia scored via penalty to narrow the lead. However, the Vietnamese side continued their dominance with three more goals to finish the match with a score of 5-1.
With Myanmar beating Timor Leste 10-3 they finished top of Group B, followed by Vietnam.
