Vien adds bronze medal at Pro Swim Series

Nguyen Thi Anh Vien won a bronze medal at the Pro Swim Series Mesa 2018 in Arizona, the US, on April 14.

Vien finished third in the women’s 200m individual medley event, with a time of 2min 16.99sec.

She was behind Melanie Margalis (2:13.90) and Leah Smith (2:16.68), both of the hosts.

It was her second medal, after winning a gold medal on April 13 in the 400m IM. Her result was also Vietnam’s victory at the tournament.

Apart from Vien, Nguyen Huu Kim Son was another Vietnamese at the competition, ranking sixth in the 400m IM with a time of 4min 34.51sec.

He also took part in three other categories in Group B, but did not reach the top three.
