Takeshi worked as technical director of the VFF starting from June 1, 2023. He was nominated by the Japan Football Association as an experienced football expert with a Pro Coaching license and over 30 years of experience in coaching and technical management at both senior and youth levels.

With his extensive practical experience, he had also been entrusted by the Japan Football Association to participate in national coach training courses with C, B, and A certificates.

Since assuming his role at the VFF, Koshida has worked as a lecturer at numerous coaching courses and technical seminars organised by the federation. He has also closely coordinated with the VFF’s technical department and the coaching staff of national youth teams in shaping and developing Vietnam’s youth football training system.

He is directly responsible for human resource development, particularly for young coaches and technical directors at clubs and football centres, helping improve professional standards and update modern international coaching methodologies, thereby narrowing the football development gap between Vietnam and the rest of the world.

Addressing the signing ceremony on February 2, Koshida shared that over the past three years, he has participated in training programmes for around 300 students. He thanked the VFF’s leadership for their continued support and expressed hope that, with the federation’s trust and the involvement of additional Japanese colleagues, he would continue to make greater contributions to the development of Vietnamese football.

Vietnam launches first AFC-certified coaching course for women’s football

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has, for the first time, launched an AFC-certified coaching course dedicated to 24 trainees involved in women’s football at clubs and training centres nationwide.
