V.League coaches join AFC Pro License course in Japan
VOV.VN - A group of local coaches from the V.League 1 and National Cup departed for Japan on June 30 to attend an AFC Pro License coaching course jointly organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

Among them is Phan Nhu Thuat, who led Song Lam Nghe An FC to a runner-up finish in the National Cup just a day earlier. He traveled to Hanoi immediately after the final to catch a morning flight to Japan.
The course brings together 18 coaches, including several well-known figures such as Van Sy Son, Bui Doan Quang Huy, and Nguyen Viet Thang. Over the duration of the program, participants will study various aspects of modern football coaching, including sports medicine, club management, tournament operations, and the development of women’s football.
This is the second consecutive year the AFC has held this special training program, reflecting continued efforts by the VFF to help domestic coaches meet licensing requirements for international competitions.
The course will be held in Japan throughout July, and then continue in Vietnam from August to December.
