Van Toan named as most valuable Vietnamese footballer
VOV.VN - Van Toan has been named among the Vietnamese national team’s four most valuable players with an estimated transfer value of EUR300,000, according to website Transfermarkt.
The other local players to make the Top 4 include national team captain Que Ngoc Hai, striker Tien Linh, and midfielder Quang Hai.
Both Van Toan and Quang Hai witnessed the sharpest increase in their transfer value, with a jump from EUR250,000 to EUR300,000 each.
In terms of the most recent V.League 1 season, Van Toan of Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) FC put on a number of strong performances and scored a total of 13 goals in the process.
Meanwhile, Quang Hai greatly contributed to Hanoi FC’s second place finish in the V.League 1 this year. The 23-year-old footballer also won an award for the best goal following his excellent strike against Saigon FC.
Some of the other notable names to make the list include the likes of Cong Phuong, Van Quyet, Thanh Chung, and Ho Tuan Tai, who came behind the Top 4 with an estimated transfer value of EUR250,000 each.
Moreover, talented full back Van Hau has a current transfer value of EUR200,000. As a result of a number of injuries, he played only a few matches during the V.League 1 campaign.
In terms of the transfer value of clubs in the V.League 1 this year, Hanoi FC maintained top position, with their footballers having a total value of EUR3.93 million. They were followed by Viettel FC valued at EUR3.49 million.
