U23s head to China for regional champs
Vietnam will leave for China’s Asian U23 Football Championship on January 1, eight days before the tournament begins.

The 28 players, who gathered together on December 25, will train in Hanoi for nearly a week before coach Park Hang-seo picks 23 players to compete at the event.
Vietnam will stay in Jiangsu province and play a friendly against Palestine as a final warm-up on January 4.
The championship is from January 9-27 with the participation of 16 teams.
Vietnam are in Group D with powerhouses the Republic of Korea, Australia and Syria.
