U16 team qualify for semis of ASEAN friendly cup

VOV.VN - The Vietnam U16s national team have earned a place in the semi-finals of the 2018 Japan-ASEAN friendly tournament after playing out a 0-0 draw with the host city’s team Miyazaki.

The Vietnam U16s are in first place of Group D with 4 points in the preliminary standings. If the Miyazaki team wins their match against Laos U16s on March 10, they will top the group.

Thailand beat Singapore 8-0 and Brunei 4-0 to take the lead in Group C. The Thai team is considered a strong candidate to win the tournament overall.
