Tien Phong Golf Championship 2020 to tee off in Hanoi

VOV.VN - A golf tournament sponsored by Tien Phong (Vanguard) newspaper will take place at BRG Kings Island Golf Resort in Hanoi’s Son Tay town on October 31, attracting 160 local and foreign golfers, according to organisers.

The fourth iteration of the tournament will draw the participation of 10 leading young Vietnamese golfers, including Bao Long, Thao My, and Quoc Anh, with the aim of sharpening their skills in preparation for the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in 2021.

Most notably, beauty queens such as Miss Vietnam 2010 Ngoc Han, top 10 finisher at Miss Grand International 2017 Huyen My, and the first runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2016 Thanh Tu, will compete at the golf championship.

The tournament’s organisers will also raise a sum of VND100 million, equivalent to US$4,347, to assist doctors on the frontline in the battle against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

During the three previous events, organisers delivered billions of VND to individuals and collectives who have recorded excellent achievements in society. Notable figures include national male and female players, International Olympiads winners, and SEA Games gold winners.
