Thuy Duong wins gold medals at Asian Youth Chess Champs
VOV.VN -Young Vietnamese chess master Bach Ngoc Thuy Duong on April 9 won two gold medals in the standard and blitz event at the U16 class’s Asian Youth Chess Championship in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

In the last match, the young chess player successfully beat her Mongolian opponent Nomindalai Tumurbaatar to climb to the first place with 6.5 points.
In the blitz event, Duong had 9 unbeaten matches with only 1 draw to top the ranking.
Other young Vietnamese chess masters Nguyen Ha Khanh Linh in the U10 class and Huynh Phuc Minh Phuong in the U8 class also won gold medals in the standard event.
