VOV.VN - Top chess player Pham Le Thao Nguyen has advanced to Round 3 of the FIDE Women’s World Chess Championships in Tehran, Iran. 
 

In the second round up against grandmaster Aleksandra Goryachkina of Russia (Elo 2,466), Thao Nguyen (Elo 2,351) tied with her challenger with final scores of 1.5-0.5 to claim victory.

In the Round 3 of the tourney, Thao Nguyen will meet Anna Muzychuk (Elo 2,558) from Ukraine, who ranks at No. 3 in the FIDE ratings.
