Thang selects squad for Asian Cup qualifier
Vietnam national football coach Nguyen Huu Thang has announced his squad for the game against Jordan in the second match of Group C in the Asian Cup 2019 qualifiers.

Thang selected 28 players, most of who played in the first match against Afghanistan in March which finished 1-1, including midfielders Nguyen Tuan Anh and Nguyen Phong Hong Duy of Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL), strikers Nguyen Cong Phuong of HAGL and Nguyen Van Quyet of Hanoi.
The team also welcomes back midfielder Luong Xuan Truong, who plies his trade in the Republic of Korea for Gangwon United.
Notably, Thang selected seven players who played in the FIFA U20 World Cup including goalie Bui Tien Dung, defenders Ho Tan Tai, Doan Van Hau and striker Ha Duc Chinh.
According to deputy chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan, Thang chose many U20 players as part of preparations for the Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia in August.
The squad will convene in HCM City on June 5 before facing Jordan on June 13 at Thong Nhat Stadium.
