Thai referees to officiate at Vietnam-Cambodia match
Thai referees will manage the match between Vietnam and Cambodia in the qualifying round of the Asian Cup 2019 to be held at the My Dinh National Stadium on October 10.
This was announced by the Vietnam Football Federation.
They are main referee Mongkolchai Pechsri and assistants Pudom Sivakorn, Preeda Binla and Anuwat.
Mongkolchai is a FIFA-level referee, and has officiated matches in Thai football league matches, alongside Chinese Super League, and many Asia Football Federation games.
He is familiar with the Vietnamese football scene. He took charge in the clash between Binh Duong and FLC Thanh Hoa in the 23rd round in the 2016 V.League, besides the V.League playoff between Long An and Viettel.
Mongkolchai refereed the friendly football match between Vietnam and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea at the Thong Nhat Stadium last year.
The 35-year-old also officiated at the 2014 AFF U-19 championship in Vietnam.
The upcoming match will take place at 7pm.
