Six gold medals for Vietnam at Jujitsu Full Contact World Championships

The Vietnamese team, comprising 12 athletes, delivered a strong performance at the tournament, which is being held from May 14 to 17 and features around 250 competitors from 16 countries and territories.
Vietnam claimed gold medals in several women’s divisions, including Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc in the women’s over-70kg category, Phung Thi Hue in the women’s under-45kg division, Hoang Thi Nhat Que in the women’s under-70kg category, Nguyen Thi Le in the women’s under-48kg division and Tran Hong An in the women’s under-57kg category.
In the men’s competition, Dao Hong Son secured gold in the men’s under-56kg division, extending his strong international record after winning two consecutive SEA Games gold medals and the world championship title in 2022.
Vietnamese athletes secured their victories against competitors from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye and several other countries.
In addition to the six gold medals, Vietnam also earned two bronze medals through Vuong Tran Hoai Thuong in the women’s under-52kg division and Tran Viet Hoan in the men’s under-56kg category.
