Shooters take aim at national championship in Hanoi

VOV.VN - The National Shooting Championship opened today, September 14, at the Sports Training Centre in Hanoi with more than 150 participating sharpshooters from across the country.

With 39 members, the Hanoi team is by far the largest, followed by those from Hai Duong Province and Ho Chi Minh City with teams of 18 and 17 sharpshooters, respectively.

During the seven day championship, athletes will compete in 10 metre rifle, 25 metre air pistol and 50 metre air pistol for both men and women.

Nguyen Thi Nhung, general secretary of Vietnam Shooting Federation, said the championship aims to select the best athletes to represent Vietnam at world tournaments.
