Shooters gear up to compete at ISSF World Cup in India
VOV.VN - Three local marksmen are set to fly to India on March 16 evening to participate in the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup.
The competition is scheduled to be held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in capital New Delhi from March 18 to March 29.
According to the plan devised by Nguyen Thi Nhung, head coach of the national shooting team, Vietnam will send Korean expert Park Chung-gun along with three shooters, namely Tran Quoc Cuong, Nguyen Dinh Thanh, and Pham Xuan Chuyen, to compete at the event.
Nhung says that she is hopeful of the prospects of Tran Quoc Cuong, who is currently ranked 17th in the world. At present, Cuong only needs to climb one place to earn a spot to participate at the upcoming 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
