Seven golds for Vietnam at World Junior Wushu Championships

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s youth wushu team have secured seven gold, two silver and four bronze medals to finish fourth overall at the 10th World Junior Wushu Championships which closed in Tianjin, China, on March 30.

Ha Gia Huy was among outstanding Vietnamese faces, bagging two gold medals in boys’ junior nanquan and nandao.

His teammate Luc An Hoa won a gold medal in boys’ nandao. Other gold medals went to Chu Tue Anh in age group B and Nguyen Khac Le Hoang in age group A, both in boys’ taijijian.

Two more gold medalists were Tran Thi Bao Linh in the U17 girls’ 48kg and Ngo Duong Thuy in the U17 girls’ 56kg.

This year, the competition brought together 666 athletes from 78 countries and territories world competing in both taolu (demonstration) and sanda (combat).

Hong Kong (China) topped the medal table with 13 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals. Hosts China ranked second with 13 gold and 4 silver medals. Indonesia finished third with 9 gold, 11 silver, and 7 bronze medals.
