Martial artists claim two gold medals at World Wushu Championships
VOV.VN - Vietnamese athletes delivered a strong performance at the 2025 World Wushu Championships, held in Brazil from August 31 to September 8, bringing home a total of 2 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

On the final day, Dinh Van Tam earned a silver medal in the men’s sanda 52kg division after a close contest against China’s Jiaming Ou.
Earlier in the tournament, Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy captured gold in the women’s sanda 56kg division, while Ngo Thi Phuong Nga also secured gold in the women’s sanda 52kg category. In taolu (performance) events, Duong Thuy Vi stood out as the only Vietnamese athlete to win a bronze medal, competing in the women’s qiangshu division.
Vietnam sent competitors across both taolu and sanda events for men and women, showcasing skill and determination in each category. The athletes are set to return to Vietnam on September 9 to gear up for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) in Thailand later this year.
