SEA Games 31: Second silver for Vietnam in diving

VOV.VN - Vietnamese divers Phuong Mai and Hong Hanh secured a silver medal in the women’s 3m springboard double event on the afternoon of May 9 at the ongoing 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31).

Both Mai and Hanh performed excellently in the final attempt to win silver with a total score of 237.57 points, beating their Singaporean rivals Ashlee Tan and Fong Kay.

This is the second silver medal won by Vietnamese divers at this year's regional sporting event.

Diving competitions have attracted athletes from seven countries, namely Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, and hosts Vietnam.

SEA Games 31, which is running with the theme of “For a Stronger South East Asia”, is being held in Hanoi capital and 11 neighbouring localities from May 12 to May 23.
