S-Race 2022 makes Asian record for largest student race
VOV.VN - The race for students, known as S-Race 2022, got underway on December 25 in the central province of Nghe An, attracting the largest number of students in Asia.
S-Race 2022 that started in March this year has been held in five localities, namely Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, and Nghe An, drawing the participation of over 30,000 students and teachers this year.
With the message of “For Vietnamese stature”, the race attracted secondary school, high school and university students aged between 11 and 23.
They competed in six events of three km for male and male high school students, as well as 1.5 km for secondary school boys, female students, high school girls, and female students.
Teachers also participated in S-Race Teacher with a distance of one km in order to encourage and cheer up the students’ spirit.
As many as 300 athletes who competed in the event across five localities nationwide will be the media ambassadors of the tournament. Together with their love of sports, they will spread positive emotions to more than 25 million students throughout the country.
S-Race was jointly organised by the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Television and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The event is set to take place annually moving forward as part of efforts to develop sports among young generations.
