Recreational Association debuts white book on Vietnamese e-sports

VOV.VN - The Vietnam Recreational E-sport Association (VIRESA) officially launched a white book on June 10 which details the local e-sports scene, marking the first of its kind in the country.

The release of the white book is being done with the primary aim of providing important information for those with a keen interest in e-sports, thereby helping various individuals and organisations to operate in an effective manner.

The book will give readers an insight into the development of both Vietnamese and worldwide e-sports.

It will include an analysis of numerous topics, such as e-sports, digital transformation, the e-sports economy, 5G and the future of e-sports, the road to the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, and the e-sports movement within the student community.

Last year marked a milestone for local e-sports as the number of players nationwide reached nearly 18 million.

Most notably, e-sports has been named as an official sport in the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games which is set to take place in Vietnam next year.
