Race of the Francophonie to return to Hanoi this March
VOV.VN - The 2025 Course de la Francophonie (Race of the Francophonie), a large sporting event for the French speaking community, is scheduled to take place at Thong Nhat (Reunification) Park in Hanoi on March 29.

The race will consist of three main distances - 2.5 km, five km, and 10 km, according to event organisers.
A total of 35 prizes will be awarded to both male and female winners in each category. In addition, the organisers will deliver prizes to the oldest and youngest athletes competing in the race.
The event is taking place as part of the French Gastronomy Festival & Francophone 2025 to be held simultaneously from March 28 to 30 at Thong Nhat (Reunification) Park.
A food court will treat visitors with pastries, apples, cheese, wine and many other specialties from France.
Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to study French, and gain access to internships, scholarships and training programmes from Francophone educational establishments in Hanoi.
Students from French-speaking schools across the capital city will also put on art performances at the event.
The Race of the Francophonie was first held in 2022 and jointly organised by the Embassy of France in Vietnam, the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), and the Francophone University Agency (AUF).
This year’s run, the third of its kind, aims to increase awareness about the importance of physical activity in order to maintain a healthy life.
