Preparations underway for U22 SEA Championship

VOV.VN- Vietnam’s under 22 national football team will gather together in Ho Chi Minh City on February 7 to prepare for the upcoming U22 Southeast Asian Championship 2019, set to get underway in Cambodia on February 17.

As scheduled, the U22 team will play Saigon FC in a warm-up game ahead of the tournament in Cambodia.

Overall, 8 teams will compete at the U22 Southeast Asian Championship 2019. Laos, Brunei, and Singapore had been scheduled to compete but have withdrawn from the tournament.

The tournament will be a great opportunity for young Southeast Asian players to get game time ahead of the qualifying rounds for the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship in Thailand.
