PM Phuc congratulates Vietnam U23s on their historic victory over Thailand

VOV.VN - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan were present on the pitch to congratulate the Vietnamese U23 squad on their 4-0 victory over Thailand in Group K’s final match of the AFC U23 Championship 2020 qualifiers which took place in Hanoi on March 26.

PM Phuc and NA Chairwoman Kim Ngan left the stand and headed to the pitch following the game to pass on their congratulations to the Vietnam U23s players at the My Dinh National stadium.
They shook the hands of every Vietnamese footballer.
The 4-0 triumph is being considered as one of the greatest ever victories of a Vietnamese squad against their Thai rivals.

The Vietnamese U23 squad is to receive a bonus of VND500 million from Minister Ngoc Thien and an additional VND1 billion from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) after progressing to the final round of the AFC U23 Championship 2020.
