Phuc Huynh earns top spot at PPA Tour Asia’s Vietnam Open 2025
VOV.VN - Vietnamese-American pickleball player Phuc Huynh clinched the championship title at the 2025 PPA Tour Asia’s Vietnam Open 2025 after defeating renowned player Ly Hoang Nam in the final match held in Ho Chi Minh City on September 7.
Nam started strong, quickly establishing a 4-0 lead in the first few minutes. However, Phuc Huynh demonstrated his skill and composure, overturning the deficit to take the first game 11-5.
In the second game, the Vietnamese-American athlete dominated with aggressive attacks and precise shots, leaving Nam with little chance to respond. Huynh sealed the victory with an 11-1 win, taking the match 2–0 and securing the championship in convincing fashion.
Earlier in the tournament, Phuc Huynh also defeated Jack Wong of Hong Kong in the quarter-finals and Trinh Linh Giang of Vietnam in the semi-finals. Both opponents were highly regarded for their experience and physical strength.
