Pencak silat: Pham Thi Tuoi wins gold for Vietnam

VOV.VN - Vietnam pencak silat martial artist Pham Thi Tuoi clinched another gold medal for Vietnam on August 29 in the women’s 50 kg final at the 29th SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Meanwhile, in the men’s 55kg final, Nguyen Dinh Tuan lost 0-5 to Faizul Nasir of Malaysia to win a silver medal. Nguyen Thi Thuy earned 454 points and won a silver medal in the women’s tunggal final.

The Vietnamese sports team now ranks third in the medal tally with 54 gold, 41 silver and 51 bronze medals. Malaysia still takes the lead with 111 gold, 77 silver and 69 bronze medals, followed by Thailand with 60 gold, 72 silver, and 75 bronze medals.
