Park calls up young hopefuls for training

VOV.VN - Park Hang-seo, the head coach of the Vietnam football team, has called up a total of 37 footballers to the men’s senior team for a training camp in December. Here are the squad’s youngest players.

He served as a key player for the Vietnam U22 squad which won the men’s football at the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and competed in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship 2020. His call up marks the first time that he has been named among the national line-up.

park calls up young hopefuls for training picture 2 — Nguyen Hoang Duc, 22, of Viettel FC represented the nation at the SEA Games 30 and was part of the team competing at the AFC U23 Championship 2020. He has previously been called to the national team several times and represented Vietnam in a World Cup qualifier against the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

park calls up young hopefuls for training picture 3 — Doan Van Hau, 21, of Hanoi FC has emerged as a key player for the Vietnamese team over the past two years. Indeed, he first rose to prominence as a member of the national team which finished as runner-up at the AFC U23 Championship 2018.

park calls up young hopefuls for training picture 4 — Nguyen Van Toan, 21, of Hai Phong FC played as a goalkeeper during the King’s Cup 2021. He has been called up before and has been a regular back up for senior team goalkeeper Dang Van Lam.

park calls up young hopefuls for training picture 5 — Bui Hoang Viet Anh, 21, of Hanoi FC played as a defender at the AFC U23 Championship 2020. The youngster is expected to develop into a key footballer in future line-ups put out by head coach Park Hang-seo.

park calls up young hopefuls for training picture 6 — The youngest player in the squad is 20-year-old Nguyen Hai Long of Than Quang Ninh FC who enjoyed a strong season in the V.League 1. Head coach Park Hang-seo had previously called him up to Vietnam’s U22 several times.
