Ninh Binh FC to add Bich Tuyen to coaching staff
VOV.VN - LPBank Ninh Binh FC head coach Thai Thanh Tung has confirmed that outside hitter Bich Tuyen will not compete in any tournaments in 2026, adding that the club plans to assign her a suitable role within the coaching staff.
As a result, Tuyen will not be registered for the 2026 National Volleyball Championship.
During the second phase of the 2025 national league, the locally born player suffered a recurrence of injury and was left out of Ninh Binh FC’s squad. She remained with the team in a support role on the sidelines. Despite the absence of their primary scorer, Ninh Binh FC reached the final and finished as runners-up.
With Bich Tuyen set to miss the entire 2026 season, the outside hitter is also unlikely to be called up to the Vietnam women’s national volleyball team this year. In 2025, she did not feature at the World Championship and was later omitted from head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet’s squad for the 33rd SEA Games.
Vietnam’s women narrowly lost to hosts Thailand in a five-set final at the 33rd SEA Games.
If Bich Tuyen goes a second consecutive season without competitive appearances, questions over her long-term playing future may arise. Meanwhile, another player, Dang Thi Hong, has been handed an indefinite suspension from domestic competitions by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and is also expected to transition into a coaching role.
