National tennis champs to kick off next month

The National Women’s Tennis Championship will be organised on March 17-24 in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province.

There will be five age group categories for athletes from under-12 to over-18. The players will compete in both singles and doubles events.

The organisers are also conducting three doubles classes for amateur competitors.

A draw will be held after the deadline of registration ends on March 7.

The Vietnam Tennis Federation said the tournament is aimed at monitoring the quality of athletes and training centres nationwide and to boost development of the sport in the community, especially among women.
