National squad hold intense training session ahead of Yemen tie

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese men’s football team held a training session in the UAE on January 14 in preparation for their third match against Yemen in Group D at the Asian Cup 2019 finals slated for January 16.

After spending one day focusing on rehabilitation, the Vietnamese team held a training session on January 14 to prepare for their final match of Group D.
The match will help decide whether or not the team led by head coach Park Hang Seo will qualify for the Asian Cup knockout stages.
There is a positive and energetic atmosphere emanating throughout the entire squad.
Vietnam currently have no points after losing both group stage matches against Iraq and Iran. The two goals scored against Iraq have given the national squad hope that they can advance to the round of 16.
Vietnam are aiming to win a point match against Yemen. This will then give them the chance of being listed among the top four third-place teams and advance to the Asian Cup knock-out stages.
Head coach Park Hang Seo has asked his players to have high levels of concentration ahead of the match against Yemen.
In previous matches, Yemen were defeated 5-0 by Iran and 3-0 by Iraq in their first and second matches of Group D.
The Vietnamese team currently has no new injury problems.
However, defender Duy Manh will miss the match against Yemen because he is suspended after received 2 yellow cards in matches against Iraq and Iran.
Doan Van Hau therefore has the chance to play against Yemen.
The Vietnamese team hope to show a high level of determination in their next match.
