Ly Hoang Nam failed to progress in the Singapore F1 Men’s Futures in both the singles and doubles events.

Sixth-seeded Nam was defeated by No 1 Dayne Kelly of Australia 6-3, 6-3 in the semi-final of the singles event on May 27.

Kelly, however, failed to take the title after losing 6-3, 6-3 to Japanese Hiroyasu Ehara in the final match yesterday.

Nam and Vijay Sundar Prashanth of India were the No 1 pair in the doubles event, but they were ousted in the quarter-final, losing 6-4, 4-6, 10-12 to Japan’s Issei Okamura and Arata Onozawa.

Nam will remain in Singapore to take part in the F2 event which starts today at the same venue.
