Nam Dinh FC drawn into challenging group at AFC Champions League Two
VOV.VN - The AFC Champions League Two group stage draw took place on August 15 at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) headquarters in Malaysia, placing Nam Dinh FC in a demanding group.
Nam Dinh FC will compete in Group F alongside Japan’s Gamba Osaka, Thailand’s Ratchaburi FC, and Hong Kong (China)’s Eastern FC. Despite being in Pot 2, the presence of Gamba Osaka makes this a particularly tough group for the Vietnamese side.
With valuable experience from last season and significant investment in foreign players during the 2025 summer transfer window, Nam Dinh FC is expected to put up a strong challenge.
Hanoi Police FC, meanwhile, were drawn in Group E with China’s Beijing FC, Australia’s Macarthur FC, and Hong Kong (China)’s Tai Po FC. The group is considered more manageable for the local side, though securing a spot in the next round will require solid performances, particularly as it is their debut in the continental tournament.
The group stage will follow a home-and-away round-robin format, scheduled from September 16 to December 24.
