Motorcycle legends visit Vietnam for Yamaha event
VOV.VN - On February 12, Italian motorcycle racing icon Valentino Rossi and Spanish motorcyclist Maverick Viñales arrived in Ho Chi Minh City to attend an event at the invitation of Yamaha, a Japanese manufacturer of motorcycles.
The two motorcyclists told Vietnamese fans they will bring small Vietnamese flags to their Movistar Yamahas in MotoGP this season to promote MotoGP racing in Vietnam. |
This year, Yamaha Motors Vietnam is the official sponsor of the world-renowned Yamaha Factory Racing. |
"It was my first time visiting Vietnam and it is a really beautiful place. I haven't had time to see a lot of Ho Chi Minh, but during the car trips I always looked out the window: it's amazing how many people are on the move with scooters!" Rossi said. |
The two legends wear Ao dai (Vietnamese traditional long address) and take photos with their fans. |
On this occasion, Yamaha Motors Vietnam also talks about the preparation plan of Yamaha GP racing 2017. The event will be held in 4 big cities, including Ho Chi Minh City (April 16), Danang (June 4), Can Tho (August 6), and Binh Duong (November 5). |
Yamaha YZR-M1, a four stroke motorcycle specifically developed by Yamaha Motor Company to race in the current MotoGP series, is also introduced at the event. |
