Most valuable Vietnamese footballers revealed
VOV.VN - Hoang Duc, Tien Linh, Ngoc Hai, and Van Toan have been valued as the local footballers with the highest estimated transfer value, according to details given by sporting website Transfermarket.
Midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc is currently valued as the most expensive Vietnamese player with an estimated transfer value of EUR400,000.
The 25-year-old footballer is currently playing for V. League 1 club Viettel and is an important member of the national team.
In 2020, he helped Viettel lift the V. League 1 trophy for the first time. In 2022, the Hai Duong native went on to win his first Vietnamese Golden Ball. Together with Vietnam’s U23s, he bagged two gold medals in the men’s football of the SEA Games in both 2019 and 2021.
Elsewhere, forward Nguyen Tien Linh ranked second with an estimated value of EUR350,000.
The third places went to defenders Que Ngoc Hai and Bui Hoang Viet Anh, along with forwards Nguyen Van Toan and Pham Tuan Hai, all of whom had an estimated transferred value of EUR300,000.
The Vietnamese national men’s football team are scheduled to gather together for a training camp from December 28 in order to prepare for the upcoming 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
Vietnam will play in Group D alongside the likes of Japan, Indonesia, and Iraq at the regional tournament in Qatar, according to information given by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
The national team coached by Phillippe Troussier will compete against four-time winners Japan at the Al Thumama Stadium at 18:30 p.m. on January 14, before playing Indonesia at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium at 21:30 p.m. on January 19, and 2007 Asian Cup champions Iraq at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium at 18:30 p.m. on January 24.
At the 2019 Asian Cup under the tutelage of coach Park Hang Seo, Vietnam qualified to the knock-out round as one of the best third-placed teams. The Golden Star Warriors therefore advanced to the quarter-finals and lost 1-0 to Japan afterwards.
