Malaysia ready for Vietnam clash in 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers
VOV.VN - The Malaysian national football team are stepping up preparations for their much-anticipated clash against Vietnam in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, scheduled for June 10 at Bukit Jalil Stadium.

The squad will convene on May 16 for a training camp ahead of the regional tournament. With the Malaysia Super League wrapping up on April 20, the national team’s coaching staff will have access to their strongest line-up for the upcoming session. Overseas-based players are also expected to join the team later.
Head coach Peter Cklamovski has expressed confidence that the determination and commitment of each player will contribute to positive outcomes for the team.
To sharpen their form ahead of the key fixture, Malaysia plan to play two friendlies against higher-ranked international opponents, giving players valuable experience against strong competition.
In further preparation for the Vietnam match, Malaysian players Dominic Tan and Ezequiel Agüero have withdrawn from the ASEAN All-Stars squad, which is set to face English Premier League side Manchester United in a friendly on May 28.
