Ly Hoang Nam ranks second on PPA Tour Asia men’s singles standings
VOV.VN - Vietnamese pickleball player Ly Hoang Nam has climbed to second place in the PPA Tour Asia men’s singles rankings following his championship victory at the PPA Asia Open 2025 in Hangzhou, China, on December 6.
According to rankings released on December 10 by the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour Asia, Nam earned 4,200 points in the professional men’s singles category to secure the runner-up position.
His total comprises 1,000 points from the gold medal at the PPA Asia Open 2025 in Hangzhou, 900 points for a bronze medal at the MB Vietnam Cup 2025, 900 points for another bronze at the Panas Malaysia Cup 2025, 800 points from a silver medal at the MB Vietnam Open 2025, and 600 points for his bronze-medal finish at the Hong Kong Open 2025.
Hong Kit Wong of Hong Kong (China) leads the PPA Tour Asia men’s singles rankings with 4,700 points, collected from one gold, two silver and two bronze medals at tournaments across the region.
Vietnam also has a strong presence in the top five, with Phuc Huynh ranking third with 3,600 points, Vinh Hien fourth with 3,200 points, and Trinh Linh Giang fifth on 3,000 points.
In the men’s doubles category, Hien Truong and Quan Do, who recently captured gold at the PPA Asia Open in Hangzhou, are currently joint 15th with 1,600 points.
Meanwhile, two overseas Vietnamese players are leading their respective mixed doubles divisions: Alix Truong, with 4,000 points at the top of the women’s mixed doubles standings, and Jonathan Truong, leading the men’s mixed doubles rankings with 3,000 points.
