Local golf team to tee off at Taiwan Amateur Golf Championship

VOV.VN - Vietnamese golfers under the guidance of coach Bach Cuong Khang, will take part in the 31st Taiwan Amateur Golf Championship, which is scheduled to take place from April 9 to April 12 at Kaohsiung Golf & Country Club in Taiwan (China).

The event will attract the participation of a number of strong teams from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Among the participating local players are rising star Nguyen Anh Minh, who finished in fifth place at the last tournament, along with young female golfers Le Chuc An and Nguyen Minh Anh (Anna Le).

According to details given by the Vietnam Golf Association, the local competitors departed for Taiwan (China) on April 7 and will have time to test the golf course and register for the tournament.

After taking part in two qualifying rounds, a total of 60 outstanding male and female golfers will have the chance to enter the third and final rounds.

With the recent remarkable results shown by players at both international and local tournaments, Vietnamese golfers are hoping to record positive results at the event.
