Liem victorious in Summer Chess Classic in the US
VOV.VN - Le Quang Liem, the nation’s top ranked chess player, has achieved victory in the Summer Chess Classic held in the United States and brought home a cash prize of US$12,000.

The draw earned Liem a total of six points from 10 matches to give him the overall lead in the tournament.
Xiong Jeffery of the US, Elo rating 2684, held his compatriot Swiercz Dariusz, Elo rating 2667, to a draw.
The result meant that he had earned 5.5 points in total and finished the tournament ranked in second place.
