Kim Sang-sik is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony and watch the tournament’s opening match between U14 LPBank HAGL and Japan’s Jubilo Iwata on May 11, HAGL FC said on May 6. 

Meanwhile, Park Hang-seo will attend the final match and present awards to players at the closing ceremony.

According to the organising board, the presence of the two high-profile coaches is a positive boost for the youth tournament. Park is currently serving as vice president of the Korea Football Association and head of delegation for the Republic of Korea national team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The U14 International Football Festival will take place from May 11 to 15, featuring 12 teams from Vietnam, Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Thailand and Laos. Matches will be held at Pleiku Stadium and the Ham Rong Training Centre in Gia Lai province.

The tournament is part of ongoing efforts to promote youth football development and international exchange at the grassroots level in Vietnam.
