Key pistol shooters to compete at ISSF World Cup in Germany
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s national shooting team will send 15 shooters to compete at the International Sport Shooting Federation (ISSF) World Cup 2026 in Germany, the team’s next international event following the 2026 Asian Shooting Championship Rifle/Pisto in February in India.
Among the athletes competing in Germany are Trinh Thu Vinh and Pham Quang Huy, two of Vietnam’s key pistol shooters.
Thu Vinh will compete in the women’s 10m air pistol, women’s 25m pistol and mixed 10m air pistol team events, while Quang Huy is entered in the men’s 10m air pistol, men’s 25m pistol and mixed team competitions alongside other key members of Vietnam’s pistol squad.
The competition will take place in Munich from May 24-31 and is expected to attract 696 shooters from 80 teams.
Vietnam’s pistol shooters are currently preparing for the 20th Asian Games, making the World Cup an important test of their performance after a period of training.
The national shooting team is currently training at the National Sports Training Center, with the women’s pistol team receiving support from a Mongolian expert.
