Japan’s Hiromi finishes first in Bình Dương cycling race

Keneko Hiromi of Japan won the Binh Duong International Women’s Cycling Tournament, Biwase Cup 2016 on March 16.

Hiromi triumphed with a total time of 21:57.32 after nine stages.

The white jersey award for best young rider went to Pham Hong Nhung of Gach Phan Ban Con Voi. The red jersey for Queen of Mountain went to Nguyen Thi Thi of Loc Troi Group, while Japanese Yoshikawa Miho won the pink jersey as Miss Biwase.

The winner of the final stage yesterday was Dang Thi Ngoc Huyen of Dong Thap who clocked a time of 2:52.04 in the 114km race from Vung Tau to Thủ Dầu Một City.

In the team rankings, Japan finished first with a time of 66:00.31, followed by Thailand and Biwase.

The event drew eight local teams and six international teams from Thailand, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The cyclists competed in a nine-stage race that stretched nearly 900km across provinces such as Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.
