Japan wins FIVB Tuan Chau-Ha Long Opens 2018

Japanese women took all first, second and third prizes at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB)’s Tuan Chau-Ha Long Opens 2018 which concluded in Ha Long city of the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh on May 12.

The final game took place on May 12 between Nagata/Kumada (Japan 3) and Mizoe/Hashimoto (Japan 2).

The Japan 2 beat its rival 25-23, 21-18 and 15-13, winning the first prize with cash award of US$20,000.

Earlier in the semi-final, another Japanese pair, Suzuki/Sakaguchi also won their Israeli competitor Starikov/Chorin 2-1 and bagged the bronze prize.

The four-day competition, belonging to the FIVB’s World Tour, drew 18 teams from 12 countries including Canada, the Czech Republic, Japan, Denmark and Israel.
